D3’s Liam Spoletini and Timothy Van Blarcom were awarded best traditional poster in the Survey Research Methods Section of the 2023 Joint Statistical Meetings for their work on Machine Learning Applications to Survey Quality Control and Fraud Detection.

The project used a variety of statistical machine learning techniques to identify potentially fabricated data in a past project. The statistical models provided new insights into survey quality control and strategies for detection of fabrication. For more information, please check out the full submitted poster below.
